store" and our store is a link) on the planet before -- is this
acceptable?

I am not sure it would.
Dave Reid is taking care of writing some guidelines for what is
acceptable in Planet Drupal feed. I think that a reference to this could
help.

Thanks for reporting this. I'll contact the site owners and let them
know that advertisements like that are not appropriate for the planet.

FYI: I was contacted as the site owner on this; this is not accurate.

I'm not the site owner. As seen in #507938: Add to Agregator feed [2] I
added the feed to the planet. The user has done some work in education,
and in the past has been active in the education group.

His user ID is http://drupal.org/user/67038 [3] --

FWIW, if someone is adding advertising to the planet, I'd recommend
removing the feed, contacting the publisher, and only adding the feed
after they have responded in a positive way.

Dave's email, despite going to the wrong person, was a good outreach
point. I recommend connecting with the actual site owner, however, as
that will be a more effective way of addressing this :)
