Motivation message:
I am creating a module which allow users to post to a user's Facebook
feed when creating a node. This type of functionality requires a
precreated application and a precreated template on Facebook for session
authentication. The module I am creating will interface with that
Facebook Application to allow Drupal sites to easily install and
authenticate themselves for endless posts to Facebook.
Facebook related modules that exist are Facebook API, Facebook Auth, FB
Connect, and Drupal for Facebook:
* Facebook API: Dead project
* Facebook Auth: Provides only a wrapper for user authentication
functions. My module is performing application authentication, much of
which is done through a manual process (the only way facebook allows)
* FB Connect: Aims to create a social networking off a drupal site with
multiple user logins, I am not trying to do this.
* Drupal for Facebook: Platform for Drupal for Facebook applications.
This is not the point of my project.
The goal of my module is to simulate a similar module that exists on
WordPress (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordbook/).
